School Profile

Ermineskin Junior Senior High School is centrally located on the Ermineskin Reserve in Hobbema. We are dedicated to delivering quality educational programs aligned with Alberta Education standards and curriculum in a setting in which the students acquire the knowledge, skills and positive attributes to become responsible citizens.

Our programs are designed to meet individual needs and interests in a safe and caring environment. Our school staff consists of 36 team members who provide quality instruction to 257 students attending grades seven through twelve. We have sixteen classrooms, a modern library with computerized cataloging and outstanding student/teacher resources, two state of the art computer labs, a well equipped science lab, a CTS lab, two regulation sized gymnasiums and a fully equipped weight room. We are proud to provide a strong Cree cultural component that is integrated into all aspects of our daily school experiences. Some examples of these experiences include our annual pipe ceremony, round dances, Elder visits, daily smudging, student drum group, and our year-end pow wow.

Our students have high ideals, dreams, values and traditions, which our programs are designed to support. We strive to foster the spirit of Miyo Wahkotowin (Good Relations) within our school, community and society.
