Principal’s Message

Welcome to Ermineskin Ehpewapahk Community School where our school strives to provide a strong foundation for future success. Our students range in age from 13 to 19 years old. The focus of our school is to provide students with strong life and employment skills through programs such as: character education, grief recovery, addictions counseling, driver’s training, mentorship programs, outdoor education obtaining necessary identification and certificates, cultural activities, parenting programs, and numeracy and literacy education, as well as much more.

Ehpewapahk School is a small, family oriented school. The small school atmosphere gives our students an opportunity to feel secure and have excellent support at all levels. We also have an amazing sweatlodge, which the students built with the assistance of an Elder. At Ehpewapahk School we have several partners invested in the wellbeing of our students by providing counseling services, funds for hot lunch, and parenting programs. We all work together to create the best learning environment possible for the students at our school.

All of our students have special talents and gifts that they can share with others. By sharing with others they can benefit greatly. They build teamwork and leadership skills through the various activities they do within the school such as mentoring elementary students, community clean-ups, and cultural activities. This is an area where the students really help each other too. They internalize their knowledge by sharing and build pride and confidence in themselves.

Through strong partnerships with the parents, community members, other schools and local agencies we are able to provide our students with a strong foundation for achieving employment opportunities and other essential life skills.

If you have any questions about our program please do not hesitate to phone us or stop by.

Hai hai,

Wendy Solland
