Miyo Wahkohtowin Education Authority

Miyo Wahkohtowin Education Authority is a First Nations managed system. It operates four schools: Kindergarten, Elementary, Junior Senior High and Ehpewapahk schools for the Ermineskin Cree Nation in Alberta.

The Education Authority consists of an eight member board – The Board Chairperson, two members-at-large, four parents elected from the Parent Advisory Committees and an elder appointed by the Chief and Council. The Director of Education and the Financial Controllers are non-voting members of the Board.

Miyo Wahkohtowin Education Authority prides itself as one of the leaders in technology, academics, cultural and language programming in Alberta Schools.
